Where Pandallumen came from
Pandallumen was founded in Nairobi in 2019 by a team that had spent the better part of a decade watching smart businesses struggle with the same content problem: they knew what they wanted to say but had no reliable way to say it consistently. The founding team had backgrounds in editorial management, digital marketing operations, and software project management — a combination that made it obvious the problem was never creativity; it was infrastructure. Over more than five years and 80-plus client engagements, we've refined a methodology that treats content like a production system. We define the inputs (strategy and briefs), the process (pipeline and workflow), the people (onboarding and training), and the feedback loop (analytics and reviews). The result is a content factory that runs on your team's talent — not on our continued involvement.
Who we work with — and what we're honest about
Our clients are typically Nairobi-based businesses with between 3 and 50 employees, a marketing team of one to five people, and an ambition to publish meaningfully more content than they currently do. We work across sectors — fintech, professional services, e-commerce, and media — but the common thread is always a team that's capable and motivated but operating without the right structure. We also work with a handful of regional clients across East Africa who want content systems designed with a Kenyan-market sensibility rather than borrowed from a Western playbook. We're honest about what we don't do: we don't write your content for you, we don't manage your social channels, and we don't run your paid media. We build the factory; you run it. If you're looking for an agency to handle your content end-to-end on an ongoing basis, we're probably not the right fit — and we'll tell you that on the first call rather than waste your time. What we're genuinely good at is cutting the time between 'we should publish more' and 'we are publishing more' from months to weeks.
